Assessment and Progress

How Progress Is Tracked and Shared

Assessment should help children grow, not only rank them. Parents also need clear ways to understand how their child is progressing.

Continuous Assessment System (CAS)

We follow the Continuous Assessment System with observations, project work, class participation, and portfolios in addition to exams.

Grade-wise Assessment Breakdown

Marks are distributed across internal assessment and terminal or board examinations, with projects and practical work included.

Unit Tests

Monthly | All subjects | 25 marks each

First Terminal

Mangsir (Nov-Dec) | Full exam | 100 marks

Second Terminal

Falgun (Feb-Mar) | Full exam | 100 marks

Annual / SEE

Chaitra (Mar-Apr) | Board examination

  • Result cards are issued after every terminal exam with detailed subject-wise marks and teacher comments.
  • Parent-Teacher Meetings are held three times a year to discuss each child's progress in detail.
  • Remedial classes are arranged for students who need extra support in specific subjects at no additional cost.
  • Class teachers send regular updates to parents highlighting achievements and areas of focus.
Teaching Approaches

How Children Learn Here

Different age groups need different teaching energy, but the school philosophy stays consistent: clarity, care, participation, and growth.

Child-Centred Learning

Every lesson begins with the child's existing knowledge and curiosity. Students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and discover answers.

Activity-Based & Experiential Learning

Science experiments, field trips, model making, storytelling, and role plays are integral parts of teaching.

Collaborative & Project-Based Learning

Group projects, debates, peer teaching, and team challenges build communication and leadership skills.

Technology-Integrated Teaching

Smart boards, educational apps, video lessons, and the computer lab enrich learning experiences.

Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL)

Mindfulness, circle time, and emotional check-ins help children build empathy and healthy relationships.

Differentiated Instruction

Teachers identify each student's learning style and pace, offering enrichment or extra support as needed.

Parent perspective: a good academic environment is not only about what is taught. It is also about whether children feel seen, encouraged, and steadily supported as they grow.
